Unnati Social Welfare Society(USWS) strives to uplift vulnerable communities through empowerment, health, and sustainable practices.
Unnati Social Welfare Society (USWS) is a not-for-profit organization established in 2023 Under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 and the Mumbai Public Trust Act, 1950 with a strong commitment to uplift marginalized communities, especially women, farmers, and tribal populations. We believe that real development begins with empowerment — by ensuring access to education, health, sustainable agriculture, livelihood training, and awareness. Through our initiatives, we aim to bring change from the grassroots by training rural women, promoting environmental conservation, encouraging skill-based education, and building strong government linkages. Our team is passionate about creating a society where every individual, regardless of background, has the opportunity to grow with dignity and self-reliance.

President / Founder
Mr. Umesh Shrivastav
10+ years leading social welfare initiatives and managing large teams.
Mr. Umesh Shrivastav holds a Master’s in Social Work (MSW) and brings over a decade of experience in public health and social development. His work spans HIV/AIDS, TB, women and child development, and community empowerment in both rural and urban settings. With deep field-level expertise, Umesh has led impactful projects for marginalized communities and built strong collaborations with government bodies, especially the Department of Women and Child Development (WCD). Known for his stakeholder engagement and practical insight, he plays a vital role in driving sustainable, community-focused initiatives.

Mr. Deepak Shrivastav
Extensive experience in administration, event management, and volunteer coordination.
Mr. Deepak - secretary of the organization holds degrees in M.Sc, B.Ed, and LLB, bringing a strong academic foundation to his work. With over 10+ years of dedicated experience in the social work and education sectors, he has consistently demonstrated a passion for empowering communities through knowledge and service. His long-standing commitment and leadership continue to be a driving force in advancing the goals of our organization.

Chief Advisor / Support Partner
Ms. Ziya Shaikh
Over 12+ years of experience in social work, community development, and NGO advisory services.
With a Master's degree in Social Work specializing in Medical and Psychiatric Social Work, Ms. Ziya brings a deep commitment and a wealth of experience to her role as chief advisor/ support partner . Over the years, she has made impactful contributions across multiple sectors including health, education, family planning, agriculture, livelihood, sustainable development, and community development. A passionate advocate for women empowerment, she has led initiatives that uplift and equip women with the tools and opportunities needed to lead change in their communities. Her expertise in building government linkages and driving grassroots initiatives continues to strengthen the mission and vision of our organization.

To empower at least 1000 women, especially from farming and rural backgrounds, through capacity building in sustainable agriculture, nutrition, sanitation, health, and livelihood. We are committed to driving change in rural and tribal communities through awareness, education, and development initiatives focused on women empowerment, environmental conservation, and government linkage.

Our Mission
The objective behind implementing our programs is to deliver effective services that promote the well-being and development of communities. Our initiatives focus on sustainable development, organic farming, and establishing strong linkages between communities and government institutions, especially in areas where government schemes have limited reach.
We are committed to empowering women by providing them with skill training, livelihood opportunities, and awareness about their rights. We also work to enhance health and nutrition standards through healthcare access, hygiene awareness, and nutrition programs
